Created to Dream message series for Jan 2024

 

We're excited for 2024! Here at Micah Church we are kicking off the new year with a new sermon series based on the book ‘Created to dream’ by Pastor Rick Warren.  

The aim of this series is to help us to go deeper with God by intentionally pursuing a more intimate relationship with Him and seeking a greater understanding of his character and his dream for our lives.

We have all been created to dream, we all have something greater that we can imagine for ourselves or for others. Pastor Rick Warren explains that it's through our imagination or dreams that we develop our faith, because ‘to courageously dream of a better future or a better life is an act of faith’.

“God’s dream for you will: strengthen your faith, deepen your courage, build your character, stretch your imagination, expand your horizons, broaden your perspective, clarify your priorities, sharpen your thinking, focus your energy and will always reveal something new about the wonder and glory of God.”

But what is your God given dream? And how do you know if it's your own dream or a God given dream?

In order to discover this, you need to ask if our dream is achievable on your own, or does it require faith? God’s dream will usually be so big that it will grow your faith to achieve it. 

Another way to determine if God has given you a dream is to ask, does the dream align with the word? Remember, God’s dream will never contradict God’s word.

Our 6-week series every Sunday is designed to take us on a journey of faith together.

• Week 5: How to deal with difficulty
• Week 6: From dead end to deliverance

There is so much to unpack, so to learn more, we encourage you to invest in the book, Created to Dream on Amazon to be intentional about pursuing your dreams in 2024. If you’re in a Life group you may want to dig a bit deeper in the weekly themes, using the book as a springboard.

Life groups

Our Life groups take place on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month and usually consist of 6-12 people from church, or those who want to know more about Christianity. At these sessions we share food, pray, and facilitate a deeper understanding of the Bible through group dialogue.

Micah Church has a number of Life groups located in and around London and the Greater London area. Why not invite your friends or family to join this Life group study with you?
