5. Fulfilling kingdom mission

Call to prayer - Fulfilling Kingdom Mission

At the beginning of each year, we host a month of prayer and fasting over 21 days. Our theme for 2024 is Fulfilling kingdom mission.

From Monday 8 January we will begin our season of prayer and fasting, as a church family.

  1. Personal - Individual prayer and fasting during your devotion time, as you feel led. Why not find an accountability partner to encourage you on your journey?
  2. Corporate - Specific, focused prayer at our Prayer Gatherings on Tuesday evenings, 8pm - 9pm and our Young at Heart gatherings on Fridays at 11am.
  3. Public - Dedicated prayer times during our Sunday morning celebration services at 11am.

We will also be hosting a Prayer Night on Friday, 12 January at 7.30pm.

  6. Include fasting as a regular weekly activity.

  7. Keep a prayer journal and record your thoughts and insights.

You may also find this article by David Matthis on Fasting for beginners (Desiring God) useful.

'Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.'
- Philippians 4:6, 7 (NLT)
