Micah-on-Sea

On a balmy Saturday in August, a flotilla of two coaches and a few cars carrying Micah friends and family landed in Southend-on-Sea.

Our mission: to squeeze the most out of the unusually hot British summer on the beach - and to just relax and have some fun!

In all, there were 150 of us of all ages on the trip. Many of the group gathered around the beach to relax in the sun on beach chairs and blankets, and share our packed lunches of fried chicken, sandwiches, cakes, juice and sweet potato pudding.



Some of the children braved the water, and the youth took a trip to the fun fair, where they played mini golf and other games, while others skipped stones and got their feet wet.



All In all, it was a great day out. Here are just a few comments from some of those who were there:
